Waterloo (Loo)
Loo arrived at the Luci Center with Sky in 1997. These grand old men at one time competed against one another but have since become great pasture friends. Loo was a large Registered Quarterhorse standing at 16 hands, his dark bay body dappled so that in the right light he looked like polished mahogany. Loo’s gentle nature, size and gait were perfect for our program. If you watched closely you would see Loo place his feet quietly and deliberately with our riders.
He was also quite the performer – at the sight of a carrot his upper lip turned skyward into a broad grin. Loo learned this early in life and it’s a sign of his intelligence that he never gave it up – he knew how to keep the carrots coming!
