Patton
Patton is a registered Lippizan. His registered name is Maestro Galena. You’ll find many Lippizans named Patton after General George Patton who in World War II helped to save the breed by hiding a herd in the Italian Alps to save them from Hitler’s plan to wipeout this beautiful Austrian horse.
Donated to The Luci Center in 1998 by a family whose daughter had lost interest in riding, Patton is an exceptional horse for beginners of all kinds – riders, volunteers, grooms, etc. Along with his extremely consistent temperament and unflappability, Patton brings a smooth gait that calms the most insecure rider and assists the individual whose balance is compromised by disability.
